Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and analytical Middle Financial Specialist to join our Finance team. The role combines operational finance, financial analysis, and process improvement responsibilities. You will work closely with internal teams, external providers, and stakeholders to ensure accurate financial operations, reporting, and continuous improvement of financial processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, initiative, and the ability to drive improvements in financial workflows and reporting.
Purpose of the role:
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations by taking ownership of month-end billing activities, revenue calculations, and client invoicing, as well as supporting primary documentation workflows and coordination with external accounting providers.
You will contribute to budgeting and financial planning processes, while analyzing financial performance, identifying trends, and investigating key drivers to support data-driven decision-making.
Your proactive and analytical approach will help identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, enhancing the efficiency, transparency, and scalability of financial operations. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and documentation of internal procedures to strengthen cross-team collaboration and financial workflows.
Key responsibilities:
Perform month-end billing activities, including revenue calculation and client invoicing, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data
Support primary document workflow (contracts, invoices, bank statements, etc)
Coordinate with external accounting providers, including document flow, verification of reports, and ongoing communication
Participate in budgeting and financial planning processes
Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and investigate key drivers of financial results
Identify opportunities and participate in finance automation initiatives and implementation of new tools
Develop and document internal procedures and interaction guidelines
Required Experience:
Higher education in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
3+ years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis
Solid understanding of management accounting and financial reporting principles
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis) is a must
Experience with financial reporting and analytical work
Fluency in English and Russian
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to dive deep into financial data
Proactive and initiative-driven approach to problem solving
Ability to see the big picture while maintaining attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration skills, including cross-team interaction
